Welcome Letters 2014

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I welcome the participants, guests and organisers to the 13th North Caspian Regional Atyrau Oil and Gas Exhibition and the 8th Atyrau Regional Petroleum Technology (Oiltech Atyrau 2014) Conference on behalf of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Presently a large scale state program of forced industrial innovative development is being implemented in the Republic. The oil and gas industry is of key importance to Kazakhstan in the field of modernisation of the economy and implementation of industrial, innovative and investment projects. The technologies applied are being improved in the branch, becoming more and more science-based and allowing for development in new fields.

The Atyrau region both holds an important geopolitical position and plays a strategic role in the national economy. Therefore, care of the social-economic status of this region is our priority. For which reason, I consider it quite necessary to carry out business activities with the participation of key operators, service companies and representatives of public authorities.

I believe that the exhibition, as in the previous years, will demonstrate high technologies and solutions for the oil and gas industry. At the conference there will be discussions about the issues and solutions of high priority in these sectors through the prism of regional development.

Finally, I hope that all the participants and guests have a prosperous time during the course of the event.

U. Karabalin
Minister of Oil and Gas

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

On behalf of the Association of Service Companies of Kazakhstan, we are glad to welcome participants and guests to the 13th North Caspian Regional Atyrau Oil and Gas Exhibition and the 8th Atyrau Regional Petroleum Technology Conference (OilTech Atyrau).

Over the period of its existence, this event has proved itself as one of the main and significant events in the Caspian region. The dozens of companies havea  great opportunity to present their production and services to potential customers and partners. The event  favors the development of oil and gas industry by providing an efficient platform where the representatives of local and foreign companies and government bodies can meet and discuss the most important issues of the industry.

The aim of the Association of Service Companies of Kazakhstan is to develop potential of service industry by increasing competitiveness of local companies and attract local service companies to large oil and gas projects. The Association of Service Companies of Kazakhstan unites about 100 local major and middle-sized oil related services companies and acts as an informative platform where important problems of the industry are discussed and solved.

As OilTech Atyrau unites foreign and local companies, new foreign partners may be attracted within the framework of this event to create new enterprises in Kazakhstan with participation from local companies. I believe that OilTech Atyrau promotes this aim as the participants of this event include major world players as well as newly developing companies.

I hope that this year's OilTech Atyrau will be held on to a high level. I wish all participants and guests a productive time and profitable contracts.
